The Ratings
Our simple & honest checklist covers a restaurant’s key ingredients:
Ambiance, Service, and Food.
AMBIANCE
8/10
Outdoor patio/garden that flows on both sides of the sidewalk, with super comfortable outdoor benches. The atmosphere is a fun outdoor cocktail garden with nice and hip background music (which gets louder as the night & party vibes carry on). Please be advised: you are entering an Instagram girl’s dream.
Bonus: the outdoor garden is filled with cooling fans to keep the temperature down during the hot and humid months of the year.
Peri Peri Hummus
SERVICE
8.5/10
Friendly & professional waitstaff. Our server quickly brought us our drinks and happily shared the menu’s popular items. Our meal was brought out without a long wait and our waters were refilled consistently, so we never had to ask for a new bottle (which is great on a hot summer day).
Note: 20% service fee is included in all meals… but it’s a well deserved 20%!
Peach & Burrata
FOOD
8/10
A delectable little menu. Fresh and tasty all around. Worth revisiting for sure, but not an all time standout. For appetizers, the Peri Peri Hummus is a good way to kick off the meal as it strikes the right balance of a gentle spiciness and has a light but very pleasant & yummy flavor. The Peach & Burrata is another good option — definitely a pairing that screams summertime freshness. While the heirloom tomatoes are juicy and sweet, the peaches may not yet be fully ripe — leaving a hard bite that goes against the fruity & velvety texture of the burrata, tomatoes, and basil. A good option nonetheless, but we’ve eaten creamier burratas before… When it comes to main dishes, while The Burger and Charred Octopus are supposedly crowd favorites, the Lobster Risotto is a dish you cannot (and should not) miss! With such a generous portion of maine lobster, a perfectly rich and buttery risotto, and parmigiano reggiano mixed so evenly throughout, this dish is absolutely excellent.
